Position Summary...

This position is responsible for directing a small group of Team Leaders in the fulfillment of daily DC QA activities. Develops, communicates, implements, and ensures compliance with national Quality Assurance (QA) programs, policies, procedures and food safety regulations within their respective DC

What you'll do...

Ensure the maintenance and accuracy of inventory levels within their distribution center through the implementation of inventory control procedures including cycle counts and random inventory audits.

Responsible to ensure that all minimum cycle requirements outlined by SOX are met. Monthly reviews to be conducted to ensure their DC is on track and action plans are put in place where required. Reviews and validates all quarterly requirements and submits SOX with comments as required inclusive of all back up documentation and supporting action plans

Develops, implements, and maintains an Operational Audit process for their site. Ensures site operational audits are conducted on a regular basis; analyses audit reports/data, prepares findings, and reports results to operations management.

Completes Analysis on Quality results. Works in collaboration with Operations to identify root cause of Quality Issues to develop improvement initiatives. Provides insight to all stakeholders of current Quality status and plans put in place

Sets and communicates department objectives. Provides direction, support, and coaching to Team Leaders in the fulfillment of their responsibilities and the accomplishment of objectives.

Establishes area-specific standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and processes and ensures department employees are adequately trained in their proper execution.

Audits the integrity of current inventory layout, methods, and equipment; evaluates and recommends permanent or temporary changes to layout, methods, or equipment to support operational needs.

Ensures all health and safety responsibilities for the department are met. Be familiar and ensure compliance with local Health & Safety Legislation. Participates in the Occupational Health and Safety Training.
